Mykola Tomenko: Sport Teams of Ukraine should ease the Tender Purchase Process
Last week, a round table discussion "On State Assistance to Physical Culture and Sport Institutions" in connection with the enactment of a new version of the Law of Ukraine "On Physical Culture and Sport" was held in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. People´s Deputies of Ukraine Oleksandr Volkov, Ihor Eresko, Viktor Korzh and Mykola Tomenko registered the bill "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Public Purchase" (regarding training and participation in sport contests and events on the all-Ukrainian and international level) (Reg. No.7133).
The bill eases the public purchase procedure for air and car conveyance, organization of catering, housing, exploitation of the training buildings, specialized equipment and arranging of training camps and contests on the all-Ukrainian and international level for the national teams of Ukraine.
One of the co-authors of the bill Mykola Tomenko emphasised that "the suggested amendments to the Law represent an urgent need for the effective representation of Ukraine as a sport country in the world." He is also convinced that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine would scrutinize the bill as soon as possible.
